The journey of our founder

Anetrice House Support Services was inspired by our Founder and Executive Director, Ms. Robyn Christian, a retired law enforcement corporal. Her dedication to fostering children for six years with Hearts & Homes For Youth Damamli Program, particularly supporting mothers and babies, illuminated a profound need. This experience led her to establish Anetrice House Inc., a safe and loving home where mothers pursuing trade certification or college can learn to love and respect themselves and their children, while achieving higher education and becoming self-sufficient, productive members of the community.

Our guiding principles for success

Our core belief centers on the transformative power of education and life skills. Each resident is required to enroll in a college or technical school and maintain a 2.5 GPA. They must be full-time students, actively attending Anetrice House courses alongside their educational program, even during summer months. Our life coaches provide continuous encouragement and guidance, working closely with therapists to ensure comprehensive support. As graduation approaches, we assist residents with employment and housing applications, leveraging our community network for their success. We believe that education and life skills form the foundation for lasting achievement for both mothers and their children.

Anetrice House Support Services has taught youth crucial life skills, including how to deal with bullies, forgive parents for shortcomings, and cultivate self-love. These attributes empower our youth and families, enabling them to integrate these skills into their daily lives. By combining practical life skills with a strong educational foundation, we equip individuals for a lifetime of success, fostering resilient and thriving communities across Maryland and beyond.
